Cumberland Homestead Historic District

Enjoy a walk through history during your stay in Crossville.   The Cumberland Homesteads was one of the largest of roughly 100 Subsistence Homestead Communities built to aid families under FDR's New Deal from 1931 to 1941.   The Historic district begins directly across from the KOA entrance, where you can take a drive and admire these historic homes.  Along your way you can make a stop at the Homestead Tower Museum to learn more about this time in history.
